Hughes Integrated wants your projects to turn out just as perfectly as you do. The following guidelines will ensure that your artwork is saved in the best possible format for print reproduction.

Electronic Files

• Electronic art files can be submitted to Hughes Integrated via CD, DVD, Email or FTP. To utilize Hughes’ Extranet ftp site for file submission please contact sales@hughesintegrated.com to set up log-on credentials.
• Please save all electronic art files out of their native application.
• Below are the file formats we accept:

Adobe Illustrator – Preferred File Format

PostScript

1-bit tiff

.len (Esko)

FreeHand, Adobe InDesign, Quark Express, ArtPro
Files originating in the above applications may be saved in .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) format by customer before providing to Hughes Integrated to ensure cross-platform compatibility.
 

PDF (Portable Document Format)
PDF files have the capability to be used as a simple proof or as high-resolution art files. When utilizing a pdf for submitted artwork, the file must be saved in a high-resolution format.

Linked / Placed Images

• Please provide any placed or linked images as separate, high-resolution (300+ ppi) files.
• Below is the file format recommended for placed images:

Adobe Photoshop
Please include layers if applicable

Text / Fonts

• Please provide fonts for all live text and/or convert fonts to paths (vectors or outlines).
